Introduction Globalization tends to be changing our lives as economic interdependence grows between the developed and the emerging countries. There is much debate on whether globalization has been bad or good for consumers Glenn Robinson Jersey , workers, companies, and government and the prospects for the future. Globalization refers to the crossing of national boundaries. It is the flow of capital, goods, people Paul Molitor Jersey , and information technology across national borders. In this paper, I will focus on globalization impact on China while examining two forces associated with globalization that includes technology and transportation. China and Globalization Globalization tends to present the world that is increasingly market-oriented and liberalized. People should learn to adapt to the increasingly competitive environment and cooperate and coordinate with others in line with the new rules. The Chinese government adopted a series of strategically significant policies so as to address the challenge of economic globalization (Overholt, 2005). The policies include readjustment of the economic structure through speeding up the development of high technology sector and also the western region. All the economic success in China associated with globalization and each aspect of globalization brings China further successes. In China, they view globalization as bring both challenges and opportunities. As a result of globalization, China has been able to learn many lessons and also accumulated rich experiences in dealing with globalization. China has been opening to the outside world. It opens to developed and the developing countries Christian Yelich Jersey , in the economic field, and in areas of social development. China has been able to exploit its advantage of the low cost of labor fully so as to attract the foreign investment and technology to push the economic development of the country and better the quality and efficiency of economic growth. China has been encouraging free trade, and it considered abolishing trade restrictions (Overholt, 2005). Today, the exports from China can be found all over the world. When considering the China-US economic relation Mike Moustakas Jersey , exports from China is benefiting many Americans through offering them with high-quality consumer goods at lower prices. As an importer, China offers a large market for foreign manufacturers, and it is gaining economic power from its acts. The demands for imports to China propel the economic growth of other countries in the world. Technology In association with globalization, technology is one force that enhances globalization. Together with the flow of goods and capital, there is the transmission of information and technology. Globalization has greatly benefited China through upgrading its technology. China has been an importer of technology; however Ryan Braun Jersey , it will soon be an exporter as it is already exporting technology to some of the less developed countries (Chow, 2002). China has been helping many developing countries in Africa and Asia through investing in the countries and providing them with technology, labor, and helping them in economic development. When considering China as an importer of technology, it is clear that the import of technology from the US to China is good for China. The transfer enables China to improve its technology in the future to an extent when it overtakes the US in those industries where the US has monopoly power. As China is providing technology to other countries Lorenzo Cain Jersey , it tends to create labor in the country; thus, reducing unemployment through creating more employment opportunities. The increase in employment rate also serves as a means of reducing poverty in the country. Migration Migration tends to be a force associated with globalization in China. The Chinese people have been moving to many parts of the world with the aim of finding jobs, settling down, or getting an education (Huaichuan, 2004). The movement of people is contributing to the countries where they are settling and visiting. The out-migration of Chinese tends to be a problem to China mostly when the emigrants have education or skills. The problem associated with such migration is the brain drain. However Cory Spangenberg Jersey , it is not a big problem today because even when overseas Chinese live abroad, they are helping China through short-term visits as traders and advisers.
